The chaotic interworkings of an overwound biological clock? Not literally, but expressively. Noises plied from pushing electronics and mechanics to edges where only experimenters dare explore. If curious, click the pick below and strap on your safety harness.
I am not a monkey, but I play one on the internet.

Aural Films presents "Fog Music." A series of recordings inspired by the weather condition known as fog. Light and dark, wet and dry, this invasive event is a great source of inspiration for sound artists from around the world. This project seeks to publish 24 hours of these recordings as an on-going series for all to hear and enjoy. I really need to find a place to tell people about new tools I find...anyway here goes.
I am playing with a Fractal Music Generator which outputs MIDI files. I take this output and do my usual soft synth runs with it, and create multi-track mixes. Today I created something I cannot stop listening to, but which I will bet all of you real musicians may find a bit boring. Track instruments are: Cinematique's "The Bowl"; a lead crystal bowl played in much the same way as one would play a Tibetan or Quartz Crystal Singing Bowl, Thunder Drums, an Indian Tabla, and of all the out of place in the World Percussion Library things, Sennheiser's DrumMic'a. I never considered myself capable of doing a pure percussion mix which contained actual drums until now.
I call the track AURAL -- Ambient Thunder.

Here is one of the recent posts to my new BandCamp page, for those who haven't the time to visit the site proper. Give it a listen and tell me what you think, please. My soundscapes vary in length from about 5 minutes to over 3 hours running time. The longer ones get turned into YouTube videos.

For anyone who might've checked my last album out; http://auralfilms.ba...-system-was-won (and thank you if you did!), my next one is up on my Bandcamp page for your perusal. 'Lead The World' represents a "fusion of ambient music, post-hippy psychedelia and the half-memories of a 1970s childhood". Free to download if you should be so interested!

I've only made one video so far - a longform video to go with a piece called Forward, released on Aural Films a couple of months ago. It chronicles the journey of Roald Amundsen and his team in their historic expedition to the geographic South Pole, using images that slowly fade into eachother (a la Eno's Thursday Afternoon). With old-timey dust and grain, of course
